We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Manufacturing to oversee and optimise production across all our facilities

Job Purpose:

As the Head of Manufacturing at Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, you will play a critical role in managing and streamlining our manufacturing operations across four factories. Leveraging your extensive experience in boat building management, you will ensure the efficient and high-quality production of our catamarans, from semi-custom lines to fully custom vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of manufacturing across four production facilities.
• Develop and implement comprehensive production strategies to meet business objectives and client expectations.
• Ensure the efficient production of four lines of semi-custom vessels and fully custom catamarans.
• Monitor and manage production costs to adhere to budgetary requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all factories.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the production teams to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless production operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity across all facilities.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
• Address and resolve any production issues or delays promptly and effectively.
• Ensure proper maintenance and utilisation of production equipment and facilities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in boat building techniques and technologies.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Develop and manage the manufacturing budget and resource allocation.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

• Extensive experience in boat building management, ideally in a large boat building production environment.
• Proven track record of managing production operations and leading teams to achieve performance targets.
• Strong understanding of boat building processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience.
