Launched on 29 May 2019, the Two Oceans 110 Day Charter Catamaran is the largest composite, leisure catamaran ever built in South Africa. Named Le Cerf, and owned by Seychelles-based Mason’s Travel, the vessel is designed for commercial day charters — and will operate out of Mahé.
Built for large groups, she can carry 275 passengers and features two decks, plus a flybridge. The upper deck offers casual and dining seating for 60 guests, and storage for snorkelling gear, while the lower deck seats 90 and includes storage lockers, fridges, freezers, chilly bins, and multiple bars. LED lighting and a Fusion sound system enhance the guest experience.
The starboard hull houses a fully equipped galley capable of catering to 250 guests, crew quarters, and storage. The port hull contains guest WC facilities — three ladies’ heads with basins, and two gents’ heads, two urinals, and basins.
On the transom, a fixed davit holds a 6-metre tender that can ferry 20 people. The front deck includes trampolines, extra seating, and a beach ladder.
Le Cerf is the 11th large custom catamaran designed by Anton du Toit and built by Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, with an 85-foot power catamaran to follow. The company also recently launched the Two Oceans 70 Day Charter Sailing Catamaran for Jamaica (170 passengers), and their charter range includes the Balance 690, and Two Oceans 700 day charter sailing catamarans.
