Cape Town, South Africa — On Friday, 21 August, Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing took a moment to celebrate the incredible women who form part of our team and the wider marine industry.
Boat building is a team effort. It takes skill, knowledge, resilience and commitment from people across every part of a business — and women play an important role in that team.
From the factory floor to the office, from technical and operational roles to leadership, the women at Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing bring their expertise, determination and unique perspectives to the work we do every day. Their contribution strengthens our teams, adds value to our business and helps us continue building better.
As a management team, we are incredibly proud of the women who contribute to our company and to the boat-building industry. Their knowledge, leadership, skill and resilience make a difference — not only in the work they do, but in the teams and people around them.
For Anél (Compliance and Aftersales Co-ordinator), who organised the celebration, the day was about creating an opportunity for the women at Two Oceans to come together and recognise what they contribute to the company and to one another.
“It was such a privilege to organise our Women’s Day celebration and see everyone come together. Working in boat building, we know that building something special takes more than materials and machinery — it takes people, passion, determination and teamwork. I’m especially proud of the women who show up every day, get the job done, support one another and continue to prove that there is a place for women in every part of our industry.”
The celebration was a chance to step away from the daily demands of building boats, connect as a team and recognise the women who help keep the business moving forward.
Building boats may require materials, machinery and technical expertise, but ultimately, it is people who make it possible.
