Magnum 36

Power Catamaran Walkaround Model

This vessel was developed from the highly successful Magnum 32 and re-engineered with increased waterplane area — primarily to boost load-carrying capacity. Both the waterline length and beam have been extended, and the tunnel entry and exit zones refined. To reduce weight, foam sandwich construction is now used for all components above the waterline.

The in-house design brief focused on enhancing the 32 ft hull’s performance and payload — a goal that has been successfully achieved. Initial trials produced better-than-expected results. The hull is ideally suited to inboard power, although new-generation, high-capacity outboards now offer similarly efficient fuel consumption.

Like its predecessors, the new Magnum 36 is built to endure the Cape of Storms. High-density foam is used in specific hull areas, and the deck layout is optimised for serious fishermen. The walkaround cabin enables safe 360-degree operation — even in challenging sea conditions.

The catamaran hull provides excellent stability with a dry, smooth ride. Particular emphasis has been placed on following-sea performance — essential for vessels covering extended offshore distances.

The cabin, which houses the main control station, offers comfortable seating, clear visibility to the aft deck, and an uninterrupted 360-degree view through toughened tinted glass. A fully enclosed head is integrated into the port sponson, and sliding doors provide added security and weather protection.

The flybridge — accessed from the aft deck — includes dual controls, wraparound seating for five, and a fixed bimini top for sun protection.
