Media release from NSRI: NSRI’s ORC Programme moves forward with Hull 7

The NSRI is entering an exciting phase in its Offshore Rescue Craft (ORC) programme, with Hull 7 scheduled to come out of the mould at the end of February.

The NSRI’s sixth Offshore Rescue Craft (ORC), known as Rescue 6, embarks on its maiden voyage from Cape Town to Gqeberha on September 24, 2024. Built by Two Oceans Marine, this 14.8m long, 4.8m wide rescue vessel is designed for extreme maritime conditions and can operate up to 50 nautical miles from land.
