To support our growing operations, we are seeking a skilled Head of Recruitment / Talent Manager with experience in the boatbuilding or large manufacturing environment and a strong technical understanding.

Job Purpose:

As the Head of Recruitment / Talent Manager at Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, you will oversee the entire recruitment and talent management process from A to B. Your role will be pivotal in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to ensure our workforce meets the highest standards of skill and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the boatbuilding and manufacturing sectors.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
  • Utilise various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, industry events, and networking, to source qualified candidates.
  • Conduct technical assessments and interviews to ensure candidates meet the required skill levels and cultural fit.
  • Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for key positions to ensure timely and efficient hiring.
  • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly and effectively into the organisation.
  • Implement talent management strategies to develop and retain high-performing employees.
  • Manage performance review processes, succession planning, and employee development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment and talent management process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and talent management records and reports.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment and talent management, preferably in the boatbuilding or large manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of the boatbuilding industry and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and HR information systems.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
